Canyon of Boxes

Software: Rhino, V-Ray, Adobe Suite

An office building in the heart of LA, rethinking the contemporary office space in light of changing conceptualizations of work-life balance and the nature of office spaces. Recent studies have shown that open offices can damage the workers attention span, productivity, creative thinking, and overall satisfaction. They can be distracting and often have little to no privacy. The driving force of this project was to create an office space that allows people to isolate themselves when they are working: allowing them to control their own productivity and level of social interactions. The boxes projecting out along the canyon are private offices for individual workers.
